I am proud to be a lifelong conservative and the only Republican running for Grant County Assessor. I believe government should be accountable to the people it serves, taxpayer dollars should be spent wisely, and every property owner deserves to be treated fairly and equally under the law.
My professional background includes years of business experience, including serving as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a land investment and management company. In that role, I gained firsthand experience overseeing budgets, financial reporting, property-related matters, and responsible fiscal management. That experience has taught me the importance of accuracy, transparency, and making sound financial decisions—qualities that are essential for an effective County Assessor. I believe the Assessor's Office should administer the law fairly and consistently.
I decided to run because I believe Grant County taxpayers deserve an Assessor who will focus on the office's core mission: ensuring that property is assessed accurately and fairly while operating the office efficiently and responsibly. The Assessor's job is not to increase taxes—it is to ensure that valuations are correct so taxpayers pay only what the law requires. Property assessments have escalated dramatically in recent years, harming local farmers and landowners.
If elected, I will work to:
